Session Overview
SESSION 1 - PERFORMANCE EXAM Your performance exam is about more than simply playing your program well. This session is about working out where your time and effort will have the biggest impact between now and exam day. We’ll work through practical strategies to help you identify your strengths, recognise where you can still fill gaps and make purposeful decisions about your remaining preparation time. In this session, we’ll cover: • Identifying your current strengths and areas that need attention • What to prioritise when you don't have unlimited practice time • Refining interpretation, expression and stylistic choices • Making purposeful decisions about your performance program • Strategies for managing nerves and performance pressure • How to make your practice sessions more effective • What to focus on in the final weeks before your exam • Time for questions and individual advice You’ll leave with: ✓ A clearer picture of what you're already doing well ✓ A focused list of areas to work on ✓ Practical strategies you can use in your next practice session ✓ A clearer plan for making the most of the time you have left 60 minutes · Live online via Google Meet This session is designed for students preparing for the VCE Music Contemporary Performance exam.

Bookings, cancellations & rescheduling Please make sure you select the correct session date and time when booking. Cancellations: You can cancel your booking online up to 48 hours before the session starts. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session are not eligible for a refund. Rescheduling: You can reschedule your booking online up to 48 hours before the session, subject to availability. If the alternative session is full or no suitable session is available, please contact Breakthrough Music at hello@breakthroughmusic.com.au. Late cancellations & non-attendance: Bookings cancelled less than 48 hours before the session, or sessions missed without notice, are not eligible for a refund. Online sessions: All sessions are delivered live online via Google Meet. Your individual Google Meet link will be provided in your booking confirmation and reminder emails. Recording: Sessions may be recorded for enrolled participants to access after the session. By booking, participants acknowledge that the session may be recorded. Please do not share recording links or course resources with others.
